How To Play Sudoku
Sudoku is a popular logic-based puzzle game that involves placing numbers in a grid of 9x9 squares. Here are the steps to play Sudoku:
- Look at the grid and identify any numbers that are already filled in. These are known as "givens" and cannot be changed.
- Each row, column, and 3x3 box in the grid must contain the numbers 1 through 9 exactly once.
- Start by looking for rows, columns, or boxes with only a few missing numbers. Use logic to determine which number(s) should go in the empty squares.
- Once you have filled in all the squares that can be solved with logic, start guessing numbers for the remaining empty squares. Use the process of elimination to determine which number(s) might fit in a particular square.
- Continue solving the puzzle by filling in numbers and checking to make sure each row, column, and box contains the numbers 1 through 9 exactly once.
- The puzzle is solved when all the squares are filled in and each row, column, and box contains the numbers 1 through 9 exactly once.
Tips:
- It is important to keep track of the numbers that have already been placed in a row, column, or box, as you cannot repeat numbers.
- Practice makes perfect! The more you play Sudoku, the better you will get at identifying patterns and solving the puzzles
